Tom Stoddart at the Ethical Society

Last night I went to a lecture by Tom Stoddart given at the Ethical Society, central London, on behalf of Photovoice.
Tom spoke about his career as a photojournalist over the past 40 years, the things he has seen and photographed, and how he likes to work.
It was a pleasure to listen to his advice for young photojournalists trying to make a career in the industry.

Photovoice is a fantastic charity that works with people that would traditionally be the subject of a photojournalist, turning them into the photographers. People living in post-conflict zones, troubled areas and those on the margins of society. Empowering people through photography.

Last Monday evening I went to a talk by REZA at London's Frontline Club in Paddington. REZA was introducing his new book 'REZA War and Peace'. He was sharing some stories about the photographs included, as well as discussing his plans for the future, and incredible amount of humanitarian work he does in Afghanistan.
